Best in the Business
by: J.S. Chancellor
My name is J.S. Chancellor, author of the Guardians of Legend Trilogy (coming to stores and online November 2010).
I commissioned Oliver to do the artwork for my first novel, knowing he was an excellent artist.
What I didn’t know was the breadth of vision he has, the unbelievable dedication to his craft and the passion he has for art. I wasn’t merely impressed, I was blown away. I’ve worked with varying artists in the past for other projects (and I’m related to a career artist), so I know enough about the industry to know that what I found in Oliver isn’t common. Without question, I’m going to commission him to do the other two books in the trilogy, along with several other projects that are lined up for the next few years.
His ability to do well, more than one style of artwork, is also very impressive. His scope is unreal.
Do yourself a favor and go glance at his gallery at Fantasio Fine Arts. You’ll immediately see what I mean.
So, no matter what mood your piece has, I’m quite certain he’ll be able to accommodate.
I simply can’t put into words what an amazing job he’s done for me.
In fact, I was about to accept an offer to do the cover from a very well known fantasy illustrator when I ran into Oliver’s gallery. After one email exchange, I had a good feeling about him and knew he was who I was looking for.
I truly believe it was the best decision I could have made. Oliver’s rendering of Garren was so much more than I’d dreamed it could be. He pulled things out and highlighted things about the character that I hadn’t even told him.
He knows how to actively listen and as long as you are willing to put some faith in him, he’ll show you things about
your own creations that you didn’t even know.
This was an amazing experience for me and taught me a lot as an author.
Oliver is a consummate professional, and a brilliant artist: Hire him, you won’t regret it!

Extraordinary Art, Fair and Friendly
by: H.W.Lewis
My dealings with Oliver (aka Fantasio) have been pleasant and positive from the onset. I had difficulty obtaining an account with paypal during my initial transaction, and Oliver was patient and understanding throughout. When my publisher required a higher resolution image, Oliver responded quickly and courteously. His artwork is visionary, at the very least extraordinary. I highly recommend him as an artist and illustrator.

Selected Artwork Critique from deviantArt.com:
Albeit painted on canvas, this picture looks so plastic and three-dimensional, it is almost jumping out of the screen. Fantasio has taken his work to a new level of hyper-realism, making the abstract aberration portrayed here plausible and tangible. The mind says “no” but the eyes say “oh yeah, just look, it’s real!” Do not wonder if you’ll hear a
“Tekeli-li, Tekeli-li” sounding voice in your head over and over again if you stare at this beautiful piece for too long.
I don’t like tentacles, unless they are part of my Sushi-menu. And these tentacles look terrifying.
But there is more to explore in this piece, details likes the smeared color, the apple, food or symbol of regency?
What does the absence of eyes symbolize? We could spend countless hours debating, but instead I prefer to l
eave it at this and let you find your own appreciation for this outstanding work.
In the long run, some artists have no clear line of style, there is no continuity in their work.
And others are redundant and keep on delivering clones of their own former work. And then there are a select
few who manage to remain
faithful to their own style, yet improve it continuously with fresh ideas and new elements.
In my opinion, Fantasio is one of those, has his last piece clearly proves.

I love the surreal look in all your pieces and all the symbols and meaning I can see on them.
you’re not only a talented artist, but also very intelligent..and those are two qualities I admire
You just take my breath away.
I believe art is to be felt and not described.. believe me when I say I FEEL it

I l ove this one, too. [Please note it seems I'm unable to dislike or even criticize any of your works. I'm just in awe everytime -- is there a cure to that? No, thanks, don't wanna heal.]
What’s fascinates me in this is the multiplicity: it seems you used some mixed media to achieve the picture (“photomanipulation”, right: but some parts look like a real, ancient painting, others look like a photograph; some elements could be drawings, too). Moreover the mix of old, traditionnal codes (isn’t there a kind of tribute to Mucha or more widely to art deco? You also used elements which remind me of medieval paintings, visual odes to the Virgin) along with this oh-so-contemporary touch which is yours.
And here I am, facing the Beauty, mix of Light and Darkness, Ancient and Modern, Sensual and Spiritual…
You truly made my day — not the less. Thank you for being such an inspiration and, in a way, muse
